Matilde Poggi in the cellar

Matilde Poggi in the cellar

“My wines have a relevant footprint resulting from particular climatic conditions of Lake Garda.

I started making wine in 1984, my focus were local grapes like Corvina, Rondinella and Garganega.
I make wine with my own grapes, the result comes from all the experiments I’ve done during these years.
Bardolino comes from a blend of different grapes that I balanced to the perfect ratio of my vineyards: the most part is Corvina (80%) and Rondinella for the rest, with no other grape added.

This the best return from my land.

The winery produces under the organic wine certification since 2009”.

Since 2008, I have been bottling some wines with the screw cap closure.

My aim was to preserve at best the freshness of my wines, specially of Chiaretto and Camporengo which, being one a rosé and a white the other, they were emphasized by fresh and fruity notes.

This closure was the one that convinced me more, to the point that nowadays I’m using it with 4 wines over 6 that constitute my current wine range.
